WHAT IS FRA® C3 AM?

Fra® C3 AM (dry/liquid) is a product based on monopropionin, ammonium propionate and sorbic acid.

Fra® C3 AM has long-acting inhibitor properties to protect raw materials (grains) against moulds, yeasts and bacteria.

Fra® C3 AM (dry/liquid) is an improvement compared to the existing mould inhibitors based on propionic acid and ammonium propionate. Because of the high content Monopropionin, Fra® C3 AM (dry/liquid) is not volatile and more effective on the long term. 

For a better efficacy, surfactants are added. By adding surfactants, the rapid spread of Fra C3 AM throughout the feed is improved.

It has been proven that Monopropionin is very active against pathogens like E.Coli and Salmonella. By treating grains with Fra® C3 AM (dry/liquid) the anti-pathogen effect will reflect in the animal which will eventually improve the animal’s health.

Because of its neutral properties (no smell and pH 6), palatability of the treated products is not negatively influenced.

Handling and storage of this mould inhibitor now become easy as Fra® C3 AM (dry/liquid) really is not corrosive.

1-Mono glycerides of propionic acid has the following properties;

1. Long term protection
2. Strong anti-mould effect
3. It has no smell and is stable up to temperature of 140 degree Celcius.
4. It can pass all types of feed processing without loss of activity.
5. It is stable at different pH’s.
6. 1-Mono glyceride of propionic acid has proven effect to control Salmonella, E-Coli etc.
